As I have mentioned, this is the short legislative year, and it appears that the Public Safety committee is determined to limit the number of bills. There is definitely a reduced number this year. As of Thursday 3/4, the Public Safety committee has completed all the public hearings of the bills I am following. The committee deadline to move bills from committee is Thursday 3/11. Bills that do not move from committee by then should be considered dead for this year.
H.B. #5305 was passed out of the Insurance committee on 3/4.
S.B. #126 will have a public hearing on 3/8.
S.B. #303, #384, & #420 will have public hearings on 3/10, 3/11, & 3/12 respectively.
